Dr. Pagano and Dr. Vaughan founded Virginia Total Sleep in February 2019. In June 2019, we opened our first location in Glen Allen, VA. 

Dr. Pagano is faculty on the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine Mastery Program. The training program leads to board certification in Dental Sleep Medicine. 

Dr. Pagano teaches on digital integrations including the use of Digital Intra Oral Scanners, Digital

Dr. Pagano is Boarded by the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. 

Diplomate status shows advanced training in sleep medicine.

Dr. Pagano began his career serving on active duty in the United States Army.

During his active duty military career, Dr. Pagano was introduced to the field of Sleep Medicine. He was selected to be part of a pilot program to treat soldiers with obstructive sleep apnea with dental devices. 

Dr. Pagano was tasks with starting a dental sleep medicine program at Fort Riley, KS. The program quickly became one of the most successful programs in the Army. As a result of his success, Dr. Pagano was selected as an instructor to train other Dentists in the Army how to replicate his success. 

He was the first dentist in the Army to pass the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine Board Exam and continues to train active duty dentists as part of the Army’s Dental Sleep Medicine Mini Residency. 

Dr. Pagano continues to serve the country in the US Army Reserves as a general dentist. 

Dr. Pagano graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He earned a full scholarship for his education from the United States Army.

While in school he earned the Dean’s Leadership Award and was the Class President.
